Historical Imagery

Historical imagery feature allows you to see all the available data in a timeline. Only data with an acquisition date will be displayed. If you need to manually enter the acquisition date on your data, ensure that you refresh the page after doing so.

This feature can be played and exported.

You need to be in a workspace. (See creating workspaces on how to add/remove data to/from workspaces)

1. Historical imagery mode

Open historical imagery window.

Make sure that your data has an acquisition date.

2. Historical imagery slider

Each dot along the slider is representative of the position of the different raster in time.

3. Additional options

Show acquisition time allows user to see the date on the slider.

Show layer name allows user to see the layer name on the slider.

Playback speed allows user to adjust the time on each layer.

The user can reset the settings.

4. Navigating the time slider

Click the play icon to play each layer according to the playback speed.

User can also use the skip buttons to move forward or backwards in time.

Here you can also see an example of the acquisition time on the slider.

5. Export historical imagery

Click on the export button to see the export options.

Here the user can choose to export a screenshot in either PNG or JPEG format of the chosen layer.

User can also add acquisition date-time on the image with different options, as text styling, background styling and label placement.

Click Download to save the image localy on your desktop.
